Overall Purpose of the JobAn opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our global Subsea Well Access product line team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager the successful candidate will work as part of the sales and business development team responsible for ensuring Expro maintain our position as the market leader for Subsea landing strings globally.The position's main responsibility is formulating the pricing/bid strategy and preparation of cost models for bids and tenders. The position is well suited to candidates with previous experience within a Commercial / Tendering role ideally from within the Oil and Gas Sector. The ideal candidate shall have a professional accountancy qualification and strong Microsoft excel skills.This is a global role working across all Expro's operating regions. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is an essential requirement of the role. The role will also work alongside the project delivery and engineering teams to successfully cost for the projects as part of the tender process.Key Activities and Accountabilities
  • Devise, develop and deploy appropriate commercial models, pricing structures and incentive schemes into new bids, proposals and tenders.
  • Ensure that the preparation and submission of Bid Evaluation Reports for internal approval is undertaken in a timely manner and in compliance with company and legislative procedures.
  • Facilitate the preparation of business cases and their analysis to support investment opportunities, as required.
  • Review material and labour costs to allow for accurate costing for new build equipment.
  • Review client tender documents, make recommendations for any commercial exceptions and pricing notes for submission, ensuring commercial and contractual risks are identified, quantified and/or mitigated.
  • Review & manage proposed amendments to existing contract rates, pricing structures and commercial terms, as required.
  • Assist in client commercial negotiations and post bid submission clarifications.
  • Liaise with Tax, Logistics and Supply chain teams to ensure costs reported in Bid Evaluation Reports are accurate at the time of bid submission.
  • Research and report upon the fiscal probity of clients new to Expro.
  • Liaise with Group and regional Finance departments as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the Salesforce database is reviewed, for area or product line of responsibility, on a regular basis to ensure data integrity of all opportunities captured in the system.
  • Liaise with internal and external departments, as and when required, to ensure all questions and queries are resolved and liaise with manager on any issues or concerns.
  • Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems. Takes an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorisation for any deviations from standard procedures.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Degree or professional qualification preferably Finance or Economic related.
  • Extensive experience in a related commercial/contract type role preferably within the Energy industry.
  • Experience with financial statements/accounting principles highly preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
