To contribute to the achievement and maximisation of agreed budget by managing and developing new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise sales. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and having daily interaction with internal customers, external customers and external suppliersExperience/knowledge
- Experience in a food related business manufacturing or distribution would be considered.
- Experience of working with Irish retailers would be of interest
- Solution selling experience/ability
- Proven track record in building sales figures and margins within a competitive and mature market (particularly with strategic customers)
- Strategic relationship management
- Consultative and Persuasive selling techniques
- Responsible for the delivery of monthly / quarterly / annual cash flow and budgeted targets using effective sales techniques and the company’s sales procedures
- Manage accounts against set targets, including mandatory sales call quotas each month
- Awareness of market conditions and trends including competitor activity and market relating to individual products
- Open and develop new trading accounts
- Maintain appropriate level of product knowledge, including attendance at product training
- Continually seek new market and product sales opportunities
- Liaise with appropriate BDMs to maximise sales opportunities
- Monitor, evaluate and report on competitor’s activities in order to identify sales opportunities
- Contribute to industry and company product development to maximise sales opportunities
- Liaise and work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure the customer’s requirements are fulfilled efficiently and effectively
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by the Regional Sales Manager and/or General Manager as deemed necessary from time to time.
- Completion of Visit Reports on a daily basis, allowing relevant members of the sales support team to follow up any actions
- Completion of Monthly Reports within the defined period, including analysis of the sales area and details supporting numbers
- Ability to grow sales into customers.
- Demonstrate effective sales techniques.
- Organise the day-to-day sales activities of the key accounts.
- Good organisation skills with ability to prioritise, delegate monitor and follow up
