- Customer segmentation - build a detailed understanding of the different customer segments and the best ways of communicating with them.
- Develop a clear, compelling proposition for the brand and its USPs.
- Monitor competitor activity and develop the brand offering to remain competitive and differentiated.
- Own the marketing calendar to build a year-round program of relevant, commercial content and promotions. Develop detailed plans for each campaign on relevant channels.
- Brief, schedule and execute marketing campaigns across internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery and maximum impact, analysing campaign effectiveness and opportunities for improvement
- Act as the editor for all new content, working with our buying teams and suppliers to ensure content is accurate, engaging and commercial.
- Establish processes for content creation, approval, and publication to maintain quality and consistency across all marketing channels.
- Develop product and packaging designs for own-brands.
- Understand and exploit social media algorithms to maximise reach and YouTube revenue.
- Develop and implement operational guidelines and procedures for in-store marketing activities, including signage, displays, and promotions.
- Collaborate closely with store managers to ensure high operational standards and make the most of each store's unique footprint.
- Run a regular program of events to drive footfall.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of in-store marketing efforts, adjusting processes as needed to optimize performance and drive sales
- Establish and manage processes for securing co-op funding from suppliers to support marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate funding agreements while ensuring compliance with co-op funding requirements.
- Develop procedures for tracking and reporting on supplier-funded marketing activities.
