- Will have successfully led and directed the contracts team effort from cradle to grave, on at least two major/complex construction projects
- Will have been personally responsible for the evaluation, negotiation, award and post-contract management of high valued site construction contracts.
- Will be able to demonstrate indepth knowledge and experience of all aspects of contracts engineering and contract management in the home office and field, including initial project set up (Manpower planning, execution planning, contracting procedures, systems, documentation etc.), risk assessment (Prime Contract, commercial, schedule and project execution risks), Terms and Conditions development including Prime Contract flow-down, contracting strategy development at overall and individual contract level, bidder prequalification, contract scope verification, RFP development, tender evaluation/clarification, negotiation, contract award, post award site contractor management including progress and productivity assessment, change management claims resolution, and close out.
- Will be fully conversant with and have sound practical application experience of the various commercial reimbursement models including re-measurable unit rate, fixed price lump sum and Incentivised.
- Will have sound knowledge of change management and claims prevention strategy and methodology
- Will have sufficient knowledge and understanding of design engineering and construction to be able to evaluate contract scopes for completeness and suitability and interrogate design to evaluate quantity growth potential.
- Will have gained significant site experience and will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the scope, activity sequencing and typical commercial risk areas of the major construction trades including civil, structural, buildings, mechanical, piping, E&I.
- Will also have experience in the evaluation and award of pre-fabrication, module fabrication, logistics and Process Licensor contracts.
