Software Engineering Team Lead

• You will provide technical leadership to software engineers by coaching and mentoring throughout end-to-end software development, maintenance, and lifecycle to achieve project goals to the required level of quality; promote team engagement and motivation.
• Provide recommendations to the software engineering manager for estimates, resource needs, breakthroughs and risks; ensure effective delegation, supervising tasks, identifying risks and handling mitigation and critical issues.
• Hands-on technical and functional mentorship to design, maintain, build, integrate and test of sophisticated software components according to functional and technical design specifications; Follow software development methodologies and release processes
• You will analyze and report the requirements and provide an impact assessment for new features or bug fixes. Make high-level design and establish technical standards.
• You will represent and lead discussions related to product/ application/ modules/ team and build relationships with internal customers/partners
• You will implement quality processes (such as performing technical root cause analysis and outlining corrective action for given problems), measure them and take corrective actions in case of variances and ensure all the project agreed work is completed to the required level of quality.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any other Science or Technology field.
• 5 years of extensive background in software engineering and proven experience in Scrum Master role.
• 1-2 years of experience in leading tasks and/or mentoring engineers
• Technical ownership and accountability (e.g. ensure tickets are groomed and delivered as per acceptance criteria by product owners).
• Demonstrated thorough understanding of software development with methods, principles and procedures along with related software management tools.
• Experience in presenting ideas, influencing, and building consensus in a group setting.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum team that may span across the globe.
• Experience running scrum ceremonies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• 7+ years of experience developing software using Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Python, Perl is a big plus
• 4+ years of Java database application development using JDBC, Hibernate, Spring Data etc.
• 4+ years of development experience in REST or SOAP-based applications
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with micro-service architecture.
• Strong grasp of RDBMS and NoSQL DB systems.
• Good grasp of Version Control Systems like BitBucket, Git etc.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud computation is a big plus.
• Event-driven application development using Kafka, RabbitMQ is a big plus
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design principles
• Strong grasp on TCP/ IP Network, SMTP, SSH, DNS, TLS and network security
• Familiarity with Linux commands and usage
• Strong scripting skills (BASH, Python)
• Experience with logging and operational monitoring tools (such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Fluent Bit, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix)
• AWS / Azure Certification is a big plus.
