You'll leverage your expertise across back-end technologies like Python, Solr, and Kubernetes, as well as front-end tools like React and Typescript. Your focus will be on crafting user-friendly and performant experiences tailored for our end users who are researchers at pharmaceutical, and biotech companies. Working with a vast and intricate knowledge graph, performance optimization and creating high-performant applications with seamless user experiences are imperative for success in this role.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Building Scalable and User Friendly Solutions:You'll engineer seamless and intuitive journeys for users to uncover valuable insights from their vast knowledge graph. Your focus will be on crafting a product tailored for researchers in drug development, requiring a deep understanding of their workflows, use cases, and challenges. Expect to delve into optimizing query performance and response times, tackling even the most complex queries head-on. You'll be at the forefront of evaluating and enhancing technologies like Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Spark, SOLR, and Redis, continuously refining our systems for optimal performance.2. End-to-End Development:Engage in the entire development lifecycle, from concept to implementation and testing. Develop new functionality iteratively with a focus on performance and user experience.3. Technology Stack:Work with a cutting-edge technology stack encompassing backend tools like Python, AWS, Redis, Solr, Kubernetes, and Spark, and frontend technologies including JavaScript ES6, React, TypeScript, and more.4. Ownership and Collaboration:Take ownership of the code you and your teammates produce. This involves actively participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and ensuring the creation of maintainable code. Mentor and guide less experienced team members to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.5. Innovation:Drive innovation in our technologies, product, and development processes. We encourage creative thinking and continuous improvement to stay at the forefront of the industry.Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in a Product development context.
Proven experience in back-end development with technologies like Python, AWS, REST APIs and frontend development with JavaScript ES6, React, and TypeScript.
Attention for the quality, security and performance standards that are of great importance in the life sciences and healthcare industry.
Familiar with industry standard code principles like Clean Code and Clean Architecture and has a solid grasp of common software engineering practices, modern design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective, performant, and user-friendly solutions.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
