Join us to build the digital economy of tomorrow.Job DescriptionThe roleCheckout.com is seeking a motivated Associate to join our Treasury team. The successful candidate will be working on the buildout and deepening of Safeguarding capabilities globally.In response to the continued scaling and expansion of Checkout.com in terms of volume, product diversity, regulated activities and legal entity footprint, you will be identifying risks associated to Safeguarding, contributing to the overall design and implementation of a Safeguarding framework and policy, with a focus on developing, managing and embedding safeguarding across the organisation to meet regulatory rules.How you'll make an impact
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of Safeguarding compliance and developing enhancements to calculation and reporting methodologies to satisfy regulatory needs
  • Manage relevant escalations, management information and project updates to Senior Management and committees, including tracking remediation actions and project plans
  • Develop and enhance safeguarding related processes and controls with treasury teams to ensure compliance with related policies and supporting audit requirements
  • Develop analysis to assess flow of fund models and treasury impacts to provide recommendations to meet specific safeguarding requirements and business/product needs
  • Contribute to embedding the Safeguarding framework and associated policies across the organisation including delivery of training materials
  • Develop documentation of policies and procedures associated with the above
  • Involvement in wider Checkout.com's strategic global expansion and regulatory initiatives within the treasury space
QualificationsAbout you:
  • 4+ years of either treasury, finance, regulatory or risk-related experience
  • Good understanding of treasury concepts such as cash management and FX including associated risks and controls
  • Basic understanding of protection/custodianship of customer assets (e.g. Safeguarding or CASS)
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with an ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships
  • Experience of working through change and implementing new cross-functional processes
  • Attention to detail and proactivity crucial
  • Forward-thinking, adaptable and thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CASS, EMI/PI or banking regulations desirable
