- Safely operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions in the processing of Kraton products.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Adjust equipment control settings and record data.
- Process sampling and field analysis as required.
- Monitor processes and perform routine area surveillances.
- Lubricate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance and inspect completed maintenance work with craft workers.
- Move raw and processed materials.
- Perform routine safety equipment checks and other audits.
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment.
- Comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements.
- Report all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly and act in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively work on shift teams and work overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, with demonstrated mechanical ability preferred.
- Trouble shooting, ability to utilize critical thinking, sound decision making, and disciplined problem solving.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial manufacturing or processing preferred.
- Additional consideration for preferred candidates includes certification in IATA, IMDG, DOT or Chemical Operator certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Chemical Operator certificate or degree is preferred.
- 1-3 years experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
