To ensure interoperability and operability of our Workflow Products we are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the team located in Zug area.The perfect candidate is someone who wants to influence their own development. Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Technical responsibility in key systems engineering disciplines for systems or complex system component development
  • Technical accountability for systems engineering deliveries, such as requirements, architecture, concept assessments, -ilities, configuration management or business impact balancing (CoGP, development cost, service cost impact)
  • Lead and accountability of the requirements engineering for the system or complex system component in scope, including supervision of involved systems engineers
  • Requirements Engineering (elicitation, analysis, elaboration, validation) and facilitation thereof (visualization, alternative views, scenarios, meetings, peer reviews) in the appropriate language of stakeholders, with the responsibility to ensure consistency across different requirement levels (PRQ, TRQ, USP) by creating the different levels and supporting the creation thereof, including appropriate detail levels (use cases, quality attributes, constraints, external interfaces and non-functional requirements)
  • Requirements Management (documentation, tracing) in the corresponding requirements management tool (enter, maintain) and timely availability of the milestone requirements documentation, as well as requirements traceability information to also track requirements status throughout the project
  • Contribute and review system concepts and system models in close collaboration with system engineering disciplines
  • Responsible for the decomposition and architectural concepts of system or system component(s), including logical and physical architectures and associated views (mechanical / electrical / software, service, cybersecurity, reagent, assay)
  • Management of technical interfaces to other Systems or System Components (Consumables, Reagents) with corresponding stakeholders and interfaces to customer environments (e.g. LIS, LMW)
  • Assessment of different concepts in various dimensions (requirements, feasibility/risk, serviceability, reuse of platform elements, COGP, development costs, RAMS engineering.. )
  • Responsible for assessment of technical product realization risks and the mitigation of them
  • Responsible for configuration management
  • Management of external partners, including creation of specifications, review and acceptance of work results
  • Expert knowledge in project management for planning and controlling the development project
  • Cooperation with other functions inside and outside the project in cross-functional activities, such as with HW and SW Engineering, Operations or Customer support
Must Haves:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical-, Mechanical- or Software-Engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as senior systems engineer or in a comparable technical leadership position
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in and knowledge of relevant processes and methods of systems engineering, especially requirements engineering, architecture definition, V&V
  • Experience and ability to lead by influencing and driving decisions in cross-functional, multicultural teams across locations and in cooperation with external partners is strong
  • Experience and a proven track record in a regulated environment, preferably in the diagnostics industry or in medical lab automation
  • You are a practical and interactive person with Hardware and Software affinity
  • You have an excellent level of communication, moderation and presentation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
