Job Description***HOUSING SERVICE MANAGER ****** MENDIP ****** 37.5 h ******£ 31,400 ***Brook Street Social Care is offering a new exciting and rewarding role within the Supported Housing accommodation in Mendip (covering 2 locations).You will be providing high level support to those who would otherwise be homeless. The role will involve managing a caseload of clients across 2 properties, engaging with vulnerable adults with complex needs.As a Service Manager you will lead a Team of 4 direct reports and be responsible for 8 units of accommodation.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Support clients to stay safe, to help them claim benefits and budgeting.
  • Provide planning, leadership, and direction, meeting statutory and organisational quality standards.
  • Enable clients to co-produce and engage with our high-quality person-centred services, where a strength based, and trauma-informed approach is taken.
  • Develop and implement client involvement activities and co-production, and deal with day-to day enquires.
  • Proactively engage with statutory agencies to update them on issues affecting clients or their accommodation placement.
  • Participate in an out of hours on call rota one week in four (£100 extra).
  • Any other tasks and activities that reasonably related to managing the properties and supporting the clients.
  • Work alongside Property Manager to carry out basic property inspections and health & safety checks.
  • Undertake visits, ensuring all properties and clients are visited in-person weekly.
  • Ensuring performance KPI objectives, quality standards and contractual obligations are met through.
ABOUT YOU:
  • You are PROACTIVE, PASSIONATE and ORGANIZED.
  • Resilient and able to deal with people who are complex and may exhibit behaviours that may challenge.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work alone unsupervised.
  • Experience in the supported housing sector.
  • Willingness to work flexibly with shifts between 8 am and 20 pm, as needed, to support new arrivals into properties.

MUST:
  • DRIVING LICENCE
  • Experience in the supported housing sector, homelessness ideally having worked with rough sleepers and/or complex needs
