Now we just need you.A real endeavour, shaped by youAs Material Fleet Manager you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the equipment and resources that are essential for operational readiness. You ensure that all material aspects of the project align with the strategic goals of enhancing and maintaining defence capabilities.Responsibilities:To succeed in this endeavour, you will:
  • Coordinate Product/Fleet governance activities.
  • Develop, review and co-ordinate Contract Change Proposals
  • Review and assess supplier deliverables.
  • Identify and manage capability risk, issues and opportunities.
  • Coordinate Engineering Services
  • Coordinate Logistics Services
  • Oversee and review planned and unplanned maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor and provide oversight of Supply Support arrangements for products/fleets in accordance with approved documentation and plans.
Qualifications:A real endeavour, driven by youOur work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
  • You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and associated domain knowledge;
  • Current and relevant fleet management experience;
  • Knowledge commensurate with the skill level required of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements/methodologies.
It is desirable if you can also demonstrate:
  • Postgraduate qualification(s) in a relevant field
  • Recognised program/product management professional qualification; (such as registered project managers under AIPM);
  • Understanding of military Command and Control technologies such as tactical data Links would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in the CASG / Defence.
