- Report to the Group Head of Tax, and be involved with interesting, complex tax issues.

- Be responsible for helping to develop and implement the indirect tax strategy across the group, including all aspects of indirect tax compliance and tax risk management.
- Support the Group Head of Tax with monitoring the effectiveness of the indirect tax controls and processes and policies for accurate, timely and efficient indirect tax compliance globally (which covers 25+ countries).
- Oversee the submission of the UK VAT returns.
- Lead the delivery of complex indirect tax advisory services related to international tax matters, including providing support to the wider tax team on the indirect tax matters to be considered in relation to market entry to ensure that indirect tax cost is managed appropriately.
- Identify and implement indirect tax planning opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of international developments in VAT relevant to digital businesses and relay these to the business in a clear and impactful way. This includes providing updates to the business with respect to changes to VAT legislation and rates.
- Provide ongoing VAT advice and training (where applicable) to internal stakeholders including finance, procurement and the legal teams.
- Support our wider tax team to review and advise on new contracts.
- Coordinate the indirect tax processes and control environment to support compliance to the Senior Accounting Officer provisions for all of our UK companies within scope.
- Build strong relationships across the business to ensure that the tax team are involved at an early stage of any proposed transaction and to advocate commercially focused and pragmatic tax solutions.
- Build relationships and establishing trust with advisers and tax authorities.
- Must be CTA qualified
- Should have at least 10 + years indirect tax experience at a multinational company or mid/large accounting firm
- Should have excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and tax filings
- Must have strong technical knowledge in UK and European indirect tax matters relating to services and goods.
- Must have proven ability to work to deadlines in a complex and dynamic environment, with key skills being attention to detail, effective project management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work streams
- Have self-starter capabilities, taking initiative, being highly motivated and comfortable working with autonomy
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Are experienced in Internal Controls
- Have digital services experience
- Have experience with tax technology, including OneSource and SAP
