Join us as we launch into our brand new warehouse site in Ravenhall and get set for future growth!We are looking for a collaborative and self motivated Warehouse & Distribution Manager to manage our Australian distribution centre as we manage the transition from our Laverton site to Ravenhall, but also to lead the team in setting up our distribution for future growth.Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, the focus of this role is to lead our team of warehouse and distribution staff in the effective and efficient movement of inventory inbound, outbound and within the Distribution Centre and associated off site storage locations. This includes inbound to Australia, outbound for all sales channels and inventory accuracy within the Distribution Centre and supplementary storage locations. The Distribution Centre Manager will also have complete responsibility for our sales channels freight partners. Ensuring all service integrity and commercial expectations are maintained through to end destination in line with business KPI measures and budget.This is not a desk bound role - intimate knowledge of all facets of the warehouse, your team, OH&S, pallet control and inventory processes will all help with success for both you and the company - achieved through a motivated team oriented, hands on operator.In this role you will:Drive the day-to-day operational success and performance of our distribution centre managing ecommerce, retail and wholesale distribution.Be a safety champion. Lead the team in managing risks within the facility, inform and drive the safety management program and embed a safety -first culture within the organisation.Lead and manage fulfilment outcomes for all outbound sales channels through to end customer including the management of 3rd party carrier providers.Maintain available inbound products and manage the governance of inventory accuracy.Hold responsibility for budget management.Collaborate with our teams, product development and commercial teams to provide operational insights and feedback to inform our greater success.Lead the team by living our company values, engaging and working to retain employees.Grow and mentor our Team Leaders ensuring high-potential staff are provided with development opportunities.Challenge all warehousing and fulfilment practices and stay up to date with the latest trends and improvements in this space.On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to:Oversee daily operations of the order fulfillment and distribution centre through collaboration with the warehouse team, rolling up your sleeves, and making sure things happen when you see a need.Leading and supporting the warehouse team, mentoring and coaching them to provide their best work.Manage a range of different stakeholders and their differing interests and priorities.Take a strategic approach to creating solutions that will provide efficiencies and allow for increased productivity within the fulfilment aspects of our national robotic fulfilment footprint.Help to define new strategies and initiatives to drive business growth.Work with the Head of Supply to achieve budgeted profit and loss performance and key performance indicators, with full accountability to meet site budgets, amend forecasts and drive improvements.Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries, problem solving and developing action plans to address them, and ensuring that communications to the business are clear and timely.We think you will need:Strong experience and proven competence at a senior warehousing level in retail or food businesses10+ years' experience in product management or similar experienceKnowledge of food storage regulation (HACCP, IFIP, organic, etc.) will be favourably looked uponA habit of challenging the status quoA commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiencesProven track record of continuously improve safety and workflowExceptional leadership and team development track recordA focus on innovation and continuous improvementAbility to communicate, collaborate and influence with internal and external stakeholders and build exceptional relationshipsExperience managing relationships with transporters would be advantageousThe ability to drive progress and lead projectsForklift and driver's licenseWhen you join us, you'll be an important pillar of our next phase of growth and performance.
