Job Title Builder Territory Manager - Seattle, WAPosition OverviewShaw manufactures and distributes carpeting, hardwood, laminate, resilient flooring, and ceramic tile for residential and commercial applications worldwide.A Builder Territory Sales Manager is required to maintain and increase Shaw’s profitability and market share in a geographical area by servicing established Shaw dealers as well as driving specifications through single and multi-family owners, architects, and strategic account managers.Responsibilities:Increase profitable business in assigned geographic area by servicing established Shaw dealers and identifying new opportunities to increase market share. Drive specifications through single and multi-family owners, architects, and strategic account managers.Perform daily sales calls. Help the customer grow their business by analyzing reports and identifying customer needs. Develop ways to increase market share in customer design centers / showrooms.Build strong customer relationships. Provide account management of high volume transactional business for large and strategic accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.Collaborate with customers and internal personnel on style and design trends to drive sales and market share. Maintain a working knowledge of all flooring products and categories.Collaborate with the specification team on new and existing business opportunities. Implement major market programs and services, downstream product specifications. Ensure national account specifications are successfully implemented in assigned geographic area.Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers and internal departments on ADV, rebates, claims, building flooring programs, and back-ordered products. Respond to customer needs and requests for information and samples. Utilize negotiation skills to reach optimal solutions in challenging situations.Set up displays in showrooms and design centers, which can weigh up to 50 pounds.Conduct product knowledge training sessions to dealers and end users.Prepare reports of business transactions and sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, competitive market conditions and product needs.Must reside within territoryRequirements:A high-school diploma or equivalent is requiredRelevant experience in flooring sales, interior design or builder channel trade sales required. Completion of the Shaw sales trainee program can be substituted for experience.Must be self-motivated and possess good organizational skills.Requires good communication and negotiation skills.Requires good time management skills.
