We are looking for an individual who can head up the production team.PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONTo manage the Production function by ensuring maximum production at minimal cost and downtime in order to produce top quality products within the minimal timeframe. To oversee the Research & Development function in order to ensure innovation in the products produced. Provide leadership and support to team and senior management for optimal business decision making.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide input into business strategyBuild and improve Production StrategyImplement, maintain and optimise business processesLead, develop and manage senior leadership production teamLead production department ( Wood, Steel, Assembly, R&D, Raw Material Stores & CAD Office)Lead Research & Development for proper design implementation of client needsLead production planningKeep up to date with manufacturing / production standards to ensure constant improvementsManage client relationships by working closely with sales support and customersEnsure OHASA compliance within in the production departmentCompile, update and maintain relevant reporting and administrationEffectively manage departmental budgetJOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTSRelevant tertiary qualification in Production / Industrial Engineering will be advantageousMinimum 8 - 10 years experience in Manufacturing (Wood & Steel) environment (of which at least 3 years’ on senior management level)Auto CAD experienceRetail experience will be advantageousProject Management advantageousCross functional management skillsUnderstanding of the business, industry and economic environment and relevant role-playersComputer literacy: Advanced levelCompetencies required: Leadership; Problem Assessment; Decision Making; Stress Tolerance; Innovation; Detail Orientation; Building & maintaining relationships & CommunicationJob Type: Full-timeEducation:Diploma (Required)Ability to Relocate:Parow, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (Required)Application Deadline: 2024/02/04
