- Lead a cross-functional bid team with support, ensuring all aspects of a bid are addressed.
- Set the objective of and facilitate bid-specific meetings.
- Understand customer requirements and alongside our business strategy define a bid/win strategy.
- Clarify gaps in requirements with the customer to ensure there is clear alignment.
- Create professional bid responses that are compelling and persuasive.
- Manage timelines to ensure bid responses are delivered on time and of a high quality.
- Manage bid budgets, resources, and risks.
- Define and communicate the commercial design and architecture of the bid to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expert support during customer workshops, bid responses, bid negotiations and presentations.
- Communicate the status of bids to Senior Manager level and customers as well as other stakeholders across the business.
- Conduct post-bid lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
- Learn about our capabilities and portfolio.
- Have a proven track record in project management, bid management or supplier management.
- An understanding of the bid lifecycle.
- Use your initiative and be comfortable working with changing requirements.
- Have a high attention to detail.
- Be commercially aware.
- Be self-motivated and proactive.
- Be comfortable challenging and working to strict deadlines.
- Be organised and able to multi-task.
- Have an enquiring mind, thirst for knowledge and willingness to learn.
- Be proficient in the use of MS Office programmes such as Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Possess a recognised formal qualification in Bid and/or Project Management.
- Have experience working with Agile Project Management Methodologies.
- Have experience of continuous improvement or transformation projects.
