Trusted IT supply out sourced IT support to a large client base, both in the UK and internationally.Overview:
There is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to develop their career in IT, working as 1st/2nd line support engineer for an IT Services and Support Company based in Whaley Bridge.This is an excellent opportunity, offering any candidate the opportunity to work in a highly technical environment, using the latest technologies where you can bounce ideas off the other technicians in the team.Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 per annum.Duties:
- Providing 1st, and 2nd line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer service
- Taking ownership of user problems, performing technical diagnosis and fixing issues remotely or scheduling for an on-site engineer
- Documenting calls on the call ticketing system
- Following standard help desk procedures & processes
Key skills and knowledge:
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised with strong planning and prioritising skills
- Ability to follow policies and procedures paying attention to detail
- Experience of deployment / admin of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure
- Proficiency in administering & supporting Microsoft Exchange products
Please Note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute.Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
