- Supports the Assistant Director, Initial Resettlement with the implementation and oversight of the VR&P Program, which provides virtual case management services to clients for up to 90 days after arrival to the U.S.
- Supervises the virtual resettlement team to ensure regular communication and coordination of activities to ensure clients receive required core services in accordance with the VR&P Cooperative Agreement.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring and training of VR&P team members and ensures successful onboarding for new team members.
- Guides the Monitoring Specialist with providing monitoring oversight to ensure delivery of core resettlement services and compliance with all grant requirements in accordance with the VR&P Cooperative Agreement; partners and connects with state and local government and service providers in states where HIAS is implementing the VR&P Program to refer clients for support and services; maintains ongoing communication with State Refugee Coordinators and community partners regarding themes and trends seen in arrivals and provide regular opportunities to discuss improvements client services.
- Approves expenses of the VR&P team, ensuring program expenses are within the approved federal budget; coordinates closely with the accounting team to ensure payment of client financial assistance.
- Supports the Assistant Director, Initial Resettlement in reporting to funder and HIAS executive leadership outcomes and successes of the program.
- Maintains regular communication with the team and Assistant Director, Initial Resettlement regarding underlining trends or issues with remote case management services and provides consultations and solutions to address these issues.
- Provides support for other U.S. Programs Resettlement & Integration functions, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. Refugee Program required; previous work experience at a resettlement affiliate or a national resettlement agency required, with both preferred.
- Previous managerial experience strongly preferred.
- Previous training or public speaking experience desired.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint and MS Teams, preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain key relationships with partners and funder.
- Well-organized and attentive to detail; self-starter able to manage and carry out varied functions of multi-faceted program, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Travel, to include travel to insecure operating environments, may be required.
