Job descriptionOur client is one of the UK’s leading responsive wastewater treatment company's , serving an extensive range of clients across the UK and overseas and they are currently recruiting for a Workshop Fitter for their operations in Wales.About The RoleOur client has an exciting new opportunity for a Workshop Fitter to join their team, to support their Operations Team. This role is responsible for mechanically and electrically assembling, servicing, and repairing company products and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.As Workshop Fitter, you’ll get to:Prepare, assemble, test and service company products and equipment in a safe, efficient and effective way to company, client and industry standards.Perform preventative maintenance on products/equipment, checking for damage or defects, reporting and repairing as required.Submit proposals for improvements to products/equipment/processes.Ensure any necessary administration and paperwork is completed accurately, in full and on time.Provide support to the wider team when needed to help cover other yard/workshop roles and/or to support the field engineers with installation or delivery of products, if required.Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area at all times, ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a good condition and stored correctly and safely when not in use.Be responsible for your own personal Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of those around you.Qualifications & ExperienceNVQ Level 2/3 in mechanical/electrical engineering, plant maintenance or equivalent.Demonstrable experience of working as a Workshop Fitter or in a similar role.Previous experience in using hand tools, typically in a workshop environment.CSCS card and tickets for Elevated Work Platform, Working at Heights, Confined Space and First aid would be advantageous, but not essential.Strong attention to detail skills with the ability to read and accurately interpret technical instructions, information and drawings.Good work ethic and able to learn quickly.A team player who is respectful of others and has pride in their work.A current Full UK driving license with less than 6 points will be essential for this role.
