Our reputation is based on our credibility and reliability in delivering a second to none top professional service to our large blue chip and Indigenous SME clients.Our specialised staff use their practical experience and taxation law knowledge of the landscape to assist our clients in preparing and claiming, so they fully exploit the R&D tax credit incentive.The CandidateWe have an immediate opening for an energetic and experienced Business Development Manager who will help us grow our business.You should possess prior industry expertise in Manufacturing, Software, or Engineering, coupled with a robust network of contacts. Additionally, you should be passionate about assisting innovative companies leverage this incentive.You will have an excellent previous record of achieving sales targets, be able to work independently, be self-determined and enjoy flexibility through autonomy whilst delivering on our business goals.The RoleThe Sales Consultant is a full-time, permanent role, taking responsibility for the development of new clients and maintaining client relationships.You will plan and organise your daily workload to meet the company strategy, grow the business and achieve KPI’s.This will be a client-facing role and will include developing sales leads, contacting companies, arranging appointments with prospective clients, delivering presentations, winning contracts in a professional and polished manner.As you develop within the role, you will demonstrate an understanding of the basic tax concepts of an R&D tax credit claim and R&D Grants, whilst keeping informed of current R&D tax developments.Role ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers and directors to help businesses effectively.Be responsible for new business development within your designated territory, including closing sales and working with Visiativ active referral partners.Proactively generate new referrers, through personal networks, events, seminars, conferences, or any other relevant activity.Attend appointments with companies and potential referrers to present our proposition and to promptly respond to referrals.Share best practice in increasing effectiveness of client screening and sales meetings.Influence, persuade, sell to and negotiate with senior management teams of target companies. Extra support may be provided e.g. technical, legal or financial.Responsible for planning and organising daily workload in order to meet the company strategy and grow the business, achieve their KPI’s, complete CRM to record all daily activity, leads and opportunities.Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.Essential Experience RequiredConsistent industry experience within either manufacturing, software or Engineering
Proven relevant private client/professional services experience
Proven track record of prospecting to closing leads
A strong understanding of the business development pipeline and how BD activity can help to grow revenues and profitability
The ability to build strong peer-to-peer relationships and identify opportunities to collaborate both internally and externally
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly build an understanding of R&D Tax Credit services
The ability to persuade, influence and challenge key stakeholders in a constructive manner
Project management skillsDesirable ExperienceKnowledge of R&D Tax Credit and R&D grants would be advantageous (full training will be provided around the R&D scheme, however, candidates must have willingness to learn the basic tax concepts of R&D Tax Credits)The Benefits
