This role is based in our East Finchley office working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotelyThe Opportunity
In this exciting opportunity will be part of a team accountable for the smooth and frequent deployment of a range of restaurant platforms (Kiosk & POS). You will be planning and ensuring the readiness for deployment of the latest and greatest features and releases to ensure restaurant and platform stability.What will my accountabilities be?
  • Work within fortnightly sprints to review all feature related configuration changes for the UK & Ireland market.
  • Oversee the entire new feature RFM (Restaurant File Maintenance) deployment process, from initial changes in the test environment to piloting in live restaurant settings, and ultimately coordinating with an offshore RFM team to implement changes across all restaurants in the UK & Ireland.
  • Collaborate weekly with the test lab manager to evaluate and discuss all updates to the XML Filter files in the test lab Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from the optimisation team, Marketing and Operations to review configuration documents for new features provided by global partners.
  • Determine the implementation strategy for new features, estimate required timelines, and gather additional information needed from stakeholders.
  • Prioritise and manage stakeholder expectations in line with business needs.
  • Implement RFM configuration in the staging environment and coordinate with the Product Officers to schedule and manage pilot tests.
  • Following testing approval, finalise and execute plans for widespread implementation, managing the offshore RFM team to ensure accuracy and compliance with test sign-off.
  • Verify that all feature configuration changes maintain backward compatibility across every version of Sesame in the estate.
  • Depending on project needs, implement RFM configurations in staging environments to assist with defect resolutions.
  • Analyse proposed changes for additional implications and execute necessary modifications in RFM.
  • Ensure all changes comply with the established Release Deployment process and the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process for modifications across all operational stores.

You will work as part of the Deployment & Testing team which forms part of the wider Technology team for the UK&I and Global business. We are a high energy team, looking for an individual who can add their talent and personality to make us even better.Who are my customers?

  • Global Technology colleagues in other McDonald’s markets and those working in global and segment functions.
  • Our supplier partners
  • Work closely with Asset & Configuration team to ensure restaurants’ are configured correctly pre-deployment.
QualificationsWhat background do I need to have?An individual who understands the importance of building relationships across the business, with excellent curiosity, communication and influencing skills will do well in this role. An attention to detail, an analytical approach and the ability to quickly identify the root cause of issues will be critical to success in the role.An individual fulfilling this role will be passionate about and demonstrate success in:
  • Proficiency in XML and configuration management tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of working effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in project management and ways of working (Agile or Waterfall).
  • Computer proficiency required, with advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and curiosity to explore new ways of working.
