The Danish Institute for IT Program Management (DIIP) at the IT University of Copenhagen invites applicants for a position as (a) Personal Assistant to Villum Kann Rasmussen Professor and Chair Bent Flyvbjerg and (b) Administrative Officer at the Danish Institute for IT Program Management. The Danish Institute of IT Program Management conducts research and research-based education with a focus on how to plan and deliver better IT projects and programs, with impact on scholarship, policy, practice, and public debate.Job description as Personal Assistant and Administrative Officer
  • Provide support to the Villum Kann Rasmussen Professor and Chair
  • Contribute to internal processes, and improve them where possible
  • Plan, organize and follow up on internal and external workshops, seminars, research meetings, dissemination, public engagement activities, and other events
  • Coordinate and conduct administrative tasks involving other research units and administrative departments, such as hiring, reporting, follow up
  • Manage travel and schedule
  • Maintain web sites for internal and external communication
ProfileThe qualified applicant will have substantial experience as PA and administrative officer and a relevant educational background. Preferably, the applicant has experience from a similar position in a research and education environment.Applicants with the following competences will be preferred:

  • Can carry out tasks in a structured and systematic manner, with effective results

The work environmentThe Danish Institute of IT Program Management is part of the Computer Science Department at the IT University of Copenhagen. The department conducts research in all aspects of computer science, including algorithms, databases, logic, image analysis, machine learning, natural language processing, project and program management, operating systems, optimization, programming languages, proof assistants, robotics, security, semantics, software engineering, type theory, and verification. It is responsible for the IT University's technical education programs BSc Software Development, BSc Data Science, MSc Computer Science, and MSc Software Design, and for PhD education in computer science.
