Department of History
(Post Ref.: 24/185)The appointee will mainly assist in a research project on the history of architecture in post-war Hong Kong under the Principal Investigator Prof. Carmen C. M. Tsui. Those with research experience are highly recommended to apply. Primary duties include but are not limited to:Requirements
  • Conduct literature review
  • Conduct archival research
  • Conduct oral history and interviews
  • Writing of building appraisals
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in history, architecture, or building conservation
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Applicants are encouraged to provide a writing sample (in English) to demonstrate their writing skills
  • The appointee is expected to start working in July or August 2024
Salary and BenefitsThe rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, and mandatory provident fund.
