This role is to support Power Services Plant Engineering with focus on mechanical equipment specification, analysis and evaluation of vendor bids (including proposal for vendor selection), review of technical documents and interface clarification, follow-up of supplier documentation, and technical management of the mechanical equipment and packages.Scope:
- Various steam turbine component like casing, bearing pedestal and bearing, rotors, blades, diaphragms, couplings etc
- Mechanical equipment and devices from power generation equipment like engines and wind mills.
- Prepare the Technical Dossier for Procurement to issue for quotation ensuring compliance with the contract/ client technical document requirements, and contract time schedule for delivery of equipment and documents.
- Experience in the power / energy / industrial application business
- Experienced with supplier qualification
- Site installation and commissioning experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of Solid Works could be an advantage
- Prepare relevant design and quality documentation and layouts using Catia/Autocad in accordance with appropriate standards and design rules
- Define material specifications for various steam turbine component
- Carry out necessary calculations and analysis related to these components
- Collect and analyze technical data
- Meet deadlines for documentation (maintain On Time Delivery) and budgets
- Analyze client comments and elaborate comprehensive answers
- Participate in design and/or technical reviews (internal/external)
- Validate documents with the appropriate engineering status and distribute according to the project specific distribution list
- Familiarity with steam turbine design and working principles.
- Familiarity with modern engineering tools, norms and design rules.
- The ability to use of CATIA V5 and Autocad.
- Effective English communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective planning, organisation and presentation skills including the ability to prioritise and plan work.
