- Provides consultation to non-system administrators, the development team and infrastructure team with the design and support of host systems with client and internal applications by actively participating in client and internal project meetings.
- Creation and maintenance of end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Build and configure delivery environments to support SDLC processes.
- Creation and enforcement of governance around development quality and security processes.
- Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues in preproduction environments and assist in successful elevation of development.
- Provides consultation to non-system administrators, the development team and infrastructure team with the design and support of host systems with client and internal applications by actively participating in client and internal project meetings.
- Support the Infrastructure Oracle projects like Delphix and Rubrik with database creation, user permissions, backups and general Oracle DBA knowledge
- Database performance monitoring and assessing current databases for best practices and configuration settings
- Migrating database backups from Commvault to Rubrik
- Mentor and train other Oracle DBAs/Developers on best practices in addition to documenting findings.
- Assess and help modernize data related services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of combined in-depth experience with operating system architecture, design, concepts, analysis, networking and/or cloud systems
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing software oriented towards systems or network automation.
- Demonstrated familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices.
- Experience designing enterprise systems incorporating the appropriate balance of performance, cost, availability, redundancy, fault tolerance, availability, security and other factors.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.), Infrastructure as Code and other modern IT practices
- Exposure to containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, TKGI, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices
- Ability to drive systematic improvements and contribute at high levels with limited direction.
- Ability and willingness to communicate across functional areas to identify and solve problems, regardless of ownership.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-critical production environment.
- Ability to research and apply systems and security specifications for the next generation of hardware/software platforms.
- Ability to design, test and document the use of new features and procedures to improve server systems and security operations.
- Ability to gather, interpret, document and evaluate architectural system requirements.
- We are looking for a Oracle Developer/DBA.
- Familiarity with the Oracle database management system, RMAN, and disaster recovery as well as best practices is preferred
- We need a team player with good communication skills that can work with both other IT teams as well as business units.
- We need a self-starter personality who can work in a fast environment with minimal direction.
- Hands on experience with database backups, performance monitoring, and general SQL skills is preferable.
- Experience managing Oracle installations, user management, upgrades and general understanding of indexing preferred.
