They are leveraging their engineering expertise and technologies to develop new projects in hydrogen, sustainable chemistry, biofuels, CO2 management/decarbonization in addition to other solutions.Together with their clients, they are taking on the world's biggest and most innovative energy challenges to build a better tomorrow.Role OverviewThis role requires a result-oriented mid-level lawyer, experienced in company law, to join a team of 6 professionals making up the Legal Corporate Department responsible for general corporate matters for the Technip Energies' group of companies. As part of the team, this person will act as a trusted business partner to ensure that the Technip Energies' group of companies comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Vice-President, Legal Corporate.Principal Duties Include :Specific:
  • Assist with oversight and management of Technip Energies' N.V. Dutch company law obligations and ensure strict compliance with same;
  • Provide support for the preparation and holding of Technip Energies' N.V. shareholders' meetings;
  • In collaboration with Finance and other corporate functions, provide assistance in connection with corporate finance transactions, tax restructurings and other transactions;
  • Provide legal support to ensure that the Technip Energies' group of companies comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and minimizing the Technip Energies' group of companies exposure to regulatory risk;
  • Provide company law assistance to the Strategic Transactions legal team in connection with strategic transactions;
  • Provide the legal support required by other corporate functions, including IT, procurement, Public Affairs, ESG and real estate matters;
  • Stay current with legal/regulatory developments, best practices in the relevant areas of law and assist in updating or implementing policies and procedures in compliance therewith;
  • Identify and analyze legal issues, draft key documents, present clear recommendations and ensure legal compliance as it relates to the relevant areas of law;
  • In collaboration with the Ethics & Compliance team, actively support the promotion of Technip Energies' Group compliance policies and procedures;
  • In collaboration with other members of Legal, Contracts and Compliance Department, assist in the development and implementation of best-in-class legal department policies and practices.

  • Help business partners accurately understand the risks and consequences of a given situation or course of action. Effectively communicate the risks and the consequences and develop alternatives to manage identified risks and achieve business objectives;
  • Ensure that legal services provided are cost-effective, practical, strategic, and consistent with Technip Energies Group values while creating an environment of collaboration with business partners and Legal, Contracts and Compliance colleagues to help drive continuing process and policy improvements;
  • Demonstrate an inquisitive mindset and innovative and creative approach, with strong business acumen and judgment;
  • Maintain a culture with a high degree of emphasis on dignity, respect, and inclusion.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Law degree from a reputable university;
  • 4-6 years of experience with a demonstrated in-depth understanding of company law and corporate legal matters. Both in house and law firm experience is preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Fluency in French and English;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple, conflicting priorities while managing a substantial workload and client expectations;
  • Experience of working successfully in a highly results-oriented and performance-driven environment with a focus on excellence;
  • Ability to see the “big picture” and work in a multi-disciplinary setting;
  • Critical thinker with an extreme attention to detail;
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and preserve the integrity of information and processes.
