- Strategize, plan, organize, oversee, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Supervise day-to-day field activities and manage the construction site.
- Ensure on-site safety programs and compliance with regulations.
- Set up and maintain the site for a professional appearance.
- Mobilize the site and coordinate necessary facilities and services.
- Ensure site security and compliance with permit requirements.
- Collaborate with other sites for resource sharing.
- Arrange for inspections and testing of various building elements.
- Manage site filing.
- Conduct safety and coordination meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes.
- Manage and maintain project costs within budget.
- Prepare and submit job reports.
- Prepare and file written records of all verbal communication and site occurrences.
- Manage the clean-up of the site and ensure that costs are allocated to the responsible parties, staying within our budget.
- Responsible for site and community public relations.
- Responsible for all temporary protection during the construction process, satisfying occupancy requirements, correction of all deficiencies, and updating all as-built drawings on-site on a regular basis.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the ICI construction industry.
- Experience in innovative construction methods is an asset.
- In-depth understanding and implementation of health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with construction site environments in all seasons.
- Gold Seal Certified is an asset.
- LEED Accredited is an asset.
- Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of Suretrak, Primavera P3 or P6, Procore, BIM Software, or E-Builder Project Management Software is an asset.
- Exposure to the construction worksite environment in all seasons.
