  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial health of the organization, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial policies and controls.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the board of directors, management team, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • University Degree
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience of working in a financial reporting environment
  • The ability to build excellent working relationships across multiple teams and locations
  • Proactive self-starter who embraces delivering improvements & change
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence in challenging senior stakeholders when appropriate
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, as circumstances require
