- Develop and execute technical SEO strategies to improve website architecture, performance, and search engine accessibility.
- Conduct comprehensive technical audits to identify and prioritize areas for improvement, including crawlability, indexation, site speed, and mobile-friendliness.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies to inform technical SEO best practices and recommendations.
2. Website Architecture and Structure:
- Optimize website architecture, URL structure, and navigation to enhance user experience and search engine crawlability.
- Collaborate with web development and IT teams to implement SEO-friendly website changes, including redirects, canonical tags, and URL parameters.
- Ensure proper implementation of XML sitemaps, robots.txt directives, and other technical elements to facilitate search engine crawling and indexing.
3. Mobile Optimization:
- Implement mobile-friendly design principles and best practices to enhance website performance and user experience on mobile devices.
- Conduct mobile usability audits and optimizations to ensure seamless navigation, readability, and functionality across various mobile platforms and screen sizes.
- Monitor Google's mobile-first indexing guidelines and optimize websites accordingly to maintain visibility and ranking in mobile search results.
4. Website Performance and Speed Optimization:
- Analyze website performance metrics and user experience factors to identify opportunities for improving page load times and performance.
- Collaborate with web development and hosting teams to optimize server configurations, reduce page load times, and minimize render-blocking resources.
- Leverage tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and Lighthouse to diagnose performance issues and implement optimization recommendations.
5. Structured Data Markup and Schema.org Integration:
- Implement structured data markup using Schema.org vocabulary to enhance search engine understanding of website content and improve rich snippet appearance in SERPs.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate schema markup for events, products, reviews, recipes, and other relevant content types to enhance visibility and click-through rates.
- Monitor structured data errors and markup implementation using Google's Structured Data Testing Tool and Search Console.
6. Technical SEO Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze key technical SEO performance metrics, including crawl errors, indexation status, server errors, and structured data errors.
- Generate regular technical SEO reports and dashboards to communicate performance trends, optimization efforts, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with analytics and data teams to correlate technical SEO initiatives with website traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics.Qualifications
- 6 - 8 years working as a SEO Expert, with at least 2 years in managerial role preferred.
- Ability to identify the tactics used by competitors and correlating their traffic with their content
- Demonstrable success in managing enterprise-level SEO campaigns with a proven track record of working on big brands.
- An understanding of how search marketing integrates with other marketing channels and wider company goals.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of how search engine algorithms work.
- Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript and browsers.
- Broad knowledge of available SEO tools and the strengths/ weaknesses of each, with an ability to extract the maximum learning and benefit from these tools.
- Should have hands on experience in using various SEO tools like SEMRush, Google keyword planner, similar web, Majestic and more.
- Proven experience in technical SEO management or a related role, with a strong portfolio of successful technical SEO projects.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, crawling mechanisms, indexing processes, and technical SEO best practices.
