The new UW Medicine Center for Behavioral Health and Learning, opening on the UW Medical Center - Northwest campus in 2024, offers an unparalleled opportunity to transform mental health care and to improve mental health care training in our state. Located in North Seattle, the new facility will feature 70 longer-term adult psychiatry beds, 30 geriatric psychiatry beds, 50 medical/surgical beds focused on patients with psychiatric comorbidities, and a state-of-the-art neuromodulation program. It will also house an interdisciplinary training and workforce development program focused on preparing and supporting the next generation of behavioral health providers for Washington State. The six-story building will be a beautiful place to work with lots of windows, natural lighting and open-concept spaces and will offer amenities including a new kitchen and dining area for patients, staff and visitors.Learn more about the Center for Behavioral Health and LearningPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produces/prepares, presents, and serves food items by following specifications on production sheets, standardized menus, computerized recipes, verbal instructions, patients' prescribed diet orders, or customer requests
  • Maintains sanitary working conditions and practices approved food safety procedures, stores food and food supplies according to HACCP procedures
  • Maintains and documents temperatures of all food items and equipment
  • Takes temperatures, documents and files data to be stored for hot and cold foods
  • Cleans and sanitizes production and storage work areas
  • Coordinates production and provision of appropriate meal items with cafĂ©, catering, and patient care staff
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and maintaining clean work area; or equivalent education/experience.ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST
