- As a Tax Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Tax Department in managing tax-related matters for our vessels worldwide.
- Assisting with tax compliance activities, including preparing tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Conducting research on tax laws and regulations in various jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders/tax advisors to gather relevant financial information for tax reporting purposes.
- Assisting with tax planning initiatives to optimise our tax position and minimise risks.
- Providing support during tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Finance or accounting qualification preferable.
- Previous experience in a tax-related role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different departments and regions.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
