- Writing Environmental Management Plans and Design Bases
- Overseeing environmental aspects of design and associated documentation
- Interpreting and applying environmental-related legislation and standards
- Conducting environmental impact assessments either directly or through use of third-party consultants
- Participating in project reviews
- Conducting project audits
- Planning activities and deliverables of your team against project schedule
- Meeting project deadlines, milestones and budgets for deliverables
- Monitoring and directing the work activities of your team
- Liasing with project management and client
- Communicating with and co-ordinating work with other engineering discipline teams

- Degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Chemical or Process Engineering
- Membership of a recognised professional institution
- Technical competence in core Environmental Engineering subject areas, notably; Emissions Quantification, Dispersion Modelling, Best Available Technology (BAT) Analysis, Risk Assessments, Working knowledge of applicable international standards
- Experience in the application of Environmental Engineering within a design setting likely to include the following: Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Refining, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), Carbon Capture/ Hydrogen Production
- Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to manage own work and the work of others, plus a strong customer focus and team-working skills
- Ability to work to agreed delivery dates while collaborating with others in multifunctional teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Environmental Engineering or Sustainability
- Experience of working in the process industry and energy, oil and gas, refining and petrochemical sectors
- Leadership skills and experience
- Commercial awareness
