Senior Engineering Technician

- Fault finding and problem solving of equipment
- Hands-on repairs, maintenance, and installation work
- Contractor management, including inductions, safety plans, and performance evaluation
- Project manage service, upgrades, and installations
- Produce risk assessments, operating procedures, and equipment documentation for the team's needs. Support other team members to produce such documentation to a high standard.
- Review procedures, work practices, and maintenance plans for improved cost effectiveness
- Demonstrate professionalism, quality awareness, and an active engagement for high safety standards
- Actively seek to develop depth and breadth of skills
- NVQ, HNC, B.Tec or similar formal qualifications in an engineering-based discipline
- Experienced and proficient in upkeep and fault finding on mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, preferably with additional engineering skills in areas such as hydraulics, vacuum systems, pneumatics, and PLC controls.
- Experienced in safe contractor management
- Good general understanding of health, safety, and quality standards and ability to carry out risk assessments and write operating procedures to a high standard
- Good communication skills within a team environment when working under pressure.
- Good IT skills with proficiency in standard office software and relevant software for data acquisition, treatment, and processing.
