Senior Technical Specialist - Azure & Data

- Monitor, document and maintain effective system configurations for Cloud services
- Management and implementation of system deployments and upgrades
- Working with team members to analyse system architecture and configurations and highlight potential improvements
- Work with the Senior Cloud Operations Manager to review, develop, plan, and implement strategies to provide a continuous program of systems improvement
- Monitor support incidents and work with support staff to provide effective prioritisation and resolution.
- Own and manage day to day issues and see through to completion. Escalate in a timely manner to senior members of the team where required
- Implement changes using the appropriate change-control process across the IT infrastructure
- Build strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers, application support teams, and the business.
- Prepare and maintain procedure documentation relating to the overall environment
- Be a creative thinker and look for new ways the business can leverage Cloud and data technologies to improve efficiencies and capabilities.
- Ongoing professional development including the attaining of professional qualifications as agreed with the Senior Cloud Operations Manager.
- At least 5 years of experience within IT, with 2 years hands-on experience administering and/or implementing Azure environments
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving service-impacting issues
- Understanding of how to design and implement robust Cloud solutions
- Good understanding of Azure with a working knowledge of one or more of Azure services including PaaS SQL, App Services, IaaS, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure networking, Azure Monitor, Logic Apps, Application Gateway, Azure Recovery Services, Azure Security Services
- An understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN and VPN
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of detail and technical content for the target audience
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to systems management.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
- Experience working in Financial Services would be advantageous
