Are you passionate about helping children with special education needs overcome their obstacles and reach their full potential? Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in South Tyneside!As our ideal candidate, you will have experience working with children with a variety of special education needs, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will be patient, empathetic, and able to work with students at their own pace, tailoring your approach to their unique needs.In this role, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to support students in and out of the classroom, helping with everything from academic coursework to social and emotional development. You will also help to create personalised learning plans to ensure each child is receiving the support they need to thrive.Requirements for this position include:
  • Experience working with children with special education needs
  • A caring and patient approach to education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching methods
  • A relevant degree or qualification is preferable
