- Design and develop hydraulic motor design solutions to industrial and mobile markets.
- Prepare or review bills of material, component selection, cost analysis, drawings, functional descriptions, hardware/software design specifications, schematics, technical documentation, and procedures.
- Design and development of new motor products and the modification of existing motor products. Perform design calculations and develop design tools. Create drawings, release parts and motor assemblies. Develop test procedures
- Aggressively pursue all information required to complete an assignment.
- Effectively prioritize both planned and unexpected work assignments.
- Responsible for timely and cost-effective completion of project.
- Assist in procurement and specification of required materials.
- Assist in monitoring progress of project relative to time and budgetary requirements.
- Suggest improvements for design or supply of equipment for the reduction of labor, material cost, and throughput time. Perform necessary product calculations including bearings, shafts, springs, bolts, seals and O-rings
- Maintain a well-organized project file in accordance with standard Bosch Rexroth procedures.
- Provide local and remote technical sales support and training on products to internal and external customers.
- Recommend or develop enhancements to existing product to improve competitiveness.
- Domestic and some international travel for product / sales support and related customer training.
- Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
- Required Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field - mechanical or fluid power discipline, with minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with mechanical design
- CAD design proficiency required. Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) preferred. SolidWorks experience a plus
- Required Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Basic knowledge of machining and assembly processes In-depth knowledge of tooling required to manufacture features in various materials.
- Detailed working knowledge in material selection.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in mechanical-hydraulic engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of low batch size non-repetitive manufacturing setup and various manufacturing principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing as well as work with associates across multiple work areas and levels in the organization.
- Experience with MathCAD, MATLAB, Windchill or programming a plus.
- Experience using problem solving techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Capable of traveling as much as 10%
