This will include a subset of the following : a) identification b) assignment and c) remediation. This is a leadership position that will work across functions within information security, enterprise technology and the business to reduce risk. It is accountable for retiring a running-backlog of over 10,000,000 vulnerabilities that fluctuates over timeESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.1. Align with security-wide priorities that define ‘our what’ that may change based on business need2. Consistently align with Truist Vision, Mission and Values and demonstrate ‘our how’ VM works:

3. Manage a team of 5 to 7 direct report teammates and contract workers who oversee defined structured process tasks; may have oversight for complex, unstructured processes.4. Perform hiring, coaching, terminations, disciplinary action, and performance reviews to enable and maintain the strategy.5. Oversee strategic and operational plans in support of business objectives; develop cross-departmental, business cases to solve problems by making technical and financial tradeoffs.6. Apply a balance of 20% technical and 80% functional knowledge to deliver quality results.7. Assist and align with the vulnerability management strategy and roadmap on time and within budget:
  • a. Aligned with FFIEC and NIST 2.0 guidance
  • b. Performs as an Enterprise Controls Function (ECF)
  • c. Formal Services Level Agreements (SLAs) across the vulnerability management function
  • d. Roles and responsibilities for stakeholders that engage in the end-to-end process
  • e. Maturity and enhancement of the sub-function capabilities to reduce risk
  • f. Operating model, organizational structure, processes, and measures
  • g. Governance and oversight of the end-to-end process
  • h. Standard, controls, metrics, thresholds, and risk-based reporting
  • i. Operational routines supported by risk-based and performance-based reporting
8. Proactively engage with stakeholders to make them aware and willing to adopt our solutions, which includes managing up, out, and down to avoid surprises and position our solutions to be successful.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)3. Proven experience in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and patch management within the banking or financial services industry.4. In-depth knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases, vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys), and patch management solutions.5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical issues and prioritize remediation efforts.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.7. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.8. 15 years’ technical experience working in the vulnerability management control function9. 15 years’ experience as a senior manager10. 15 years’ experience in strategic planning, operational planning, and execution11. 15 years managing simple and structured work12. 15 years managing complex and unstructured work13. 10 years’ experience leading diverse teams, such as teammates, contract workers, onshore, offshore resources, and/or managed services14. 10 years’ experience and intermediate-level technical knowledge of product knowledge and processes15. 10 years’ experience and basic functional knowledge of tools and processes for the broader VM capability16. 10 years’ experience and expert-level strength in soft skills and interpersonal communications17. 10 years’ technical experience working for a top 10 US bank18. 10 years’ experience collaborating with the following functions: a) infrastructure b) application development c) application support d) risk management e) technology risk f) audit and g) external auditors19. 10 years’ experience managing the remediation of regulatory matters and internal findings20. 10 years’ experience in strategic planning and applying industry best practices to operations (NIST, FFIEC)Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree
2. Understand multiple approaches to designing VM technical solutions
3.
