JOB TITLE: Associate ScientistDEPARTMENT: Research and DevelopmentSUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Section Manager/Technical DirectorJOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:

Develop new technology/ product and refine existing products

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Lead new product development. Lead product upgrade projects.
Lead competitive benchmarking product analyses and develop product development strategies.
Lead technologies scouting project. Prepare a detailed project scope and discuss with team members before start of the project.
Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and update details to USA counterpart and Group head.
Submit project completion report to Group head. Solve complex issues relating to product formulations systems/ product upgrade and development.
Collaborate with various department as per the requirement of projects.
Maintain and update product specifications and performance properties for research purposes.
Direct raw material evaluation tests and product performance studies.
Define test parameters, including areas not previously investigated.
Direct raw material evaluation tests. Substantiate, review, and justify conclusions reached by Research and Development department activity.
Participation in BPRC Ideation Program.
Guide team members for their ideation program.
Provide leadership and guidance to Chemists and Lab Technicians to include training and monitoring of performance and in assigning more challenging projects.
Assist Group head for the recruitment of new hires.
Follow lab safety guidelines and regulations.
Complete the assigned lab responsibilities as per the timeline.
Expect a high level of self-motivation and excellent communication skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:Educational Qualification: Ph.D. Chemistry/Polymer OR M.
