The roleStrutt & Parker’s Farming team provide clients with a strategic business and management service for their farms and estates advising on a wide variety of issues to enable owners to manage and make the most of their land.The Stamford Farming team has an established reputation as leader in the local Farming community. They undertake the management of Rural Estates and offer a range of professional rural advice throughout the East Midlands. Their technical excellence ensures an impressive client base, and they advise some of the most prestigious clients in the area.Key ResponsibilitiesContract farming agreements and advice on farm business issues such as joint ventures, change of use, rent reviews, expansions, and succession planning.Financial monitoring and analysis including preparing budgets and cashflows.Technical advice on mainstream arable and livestock enterprisesAdvising on environmental issues and farm diversificationProviding accurate farm budgeting and commercial business advice to clientsDeveloping and maintaining a set of client contactsDriving business developmentRegular farm visitsAdvising on compliance with current legislation and use of governmental or EU schemesProviding advice and completing BPS applications, Countryside Stewardship and RDPE applicationsPreparing reportsMaintaining awareness of developments in the wider agricultural sectorAttending relevant conferencesThe CandidateExperience in farm management / farm business consultancy and be able to communicate directly and make recommendations to farming clients.A team player; able to develop a close working relationship with colleagues.Experienced in the farming sector.Commercially astute and hands onCapable of building strong relationships with existing and new clients and generating new opportunitiesGood presentation and numeracy skillsExcellent communication skillsAmbitious, energetic, self-motivated, and happy to network with a business development orientated attitude.Skills/QualificationsAgriculturally based University DegreeBIAC, BASIS and/or FACTS preferred.Excellent research and analytical skillsExcellent IT skills including use of MS Office.We are proud to offer award-winning benefits to support and reward our employees:
