They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.This role will pay an hourly wage of $16.78.For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. job expires 5/31/2024About the Venue2024 LA County Fair Season: May 3rd - May 27thResponsibilitiesResponsible for serving guests beer/ wine in a fast-paced environmentMust demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in customer service, interacting with guests in a friendly and fast manner; ensuring guests complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectationsBeer Server should have extensive knowledge in all aspects of beer in order to sell and serve drinks in a professional manner that achieves Company service and quality standardsAcknowledge all guests, anticipate Guest's needs, and respond promptly to guests- however busyEntering and completing guest's orders on a point-of-sale computer system; accepting various types of paymentAttempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s)Responsibily serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local policies, procedures, regulations, and lawsWorking in a team environment with the ability to be a team playerResponsible for completing an accurate closing inventory of productAssures and maintains cleanliness of bar and surrounding area throughout the day, assures the area is operableMaintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in workResponsible for checking ID's of guest prior to serving, making sure each guest is of age to purchase alcohol with a valid ID. Refusing to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age and have expired ID.Follow Company's guidelines for serving any beer/ wine in appropriate cup sizeRestock area as requiredSet up and breakdown of beer standWhile performing the duties of this position, the team member is standing the entire shiftQualifications2 years or more experience of full-service restaurant or beer server in a similar level of volume with knowledge of beer.MUST have RBS Alcohol Certificate that is required by State LawMUST have CA Food Handlers Certificate that is required by State Law (specific for CA or LA County will ONLY be accepted)Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policyAccurate cash handling skillsAbility to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.Must maintain excellent attendance.Must have the ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to 4 hours in length; must be able to safely reach, bend, stop, and frequently lift up to 25lbs.Must have knowledge of various beers, wines, and spirits.Must have knowledge of mixing and garnishing alcoholic drinks.Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.Strengthened by our Differences.
