Job Description:We are looking to recruit to a Marketing Executive position in our events team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role will work closely with colleagues in marketing, event production, content, data, award advisors, and digital publishing to deliver well-executed marketing activation plans and campaigns in accordance with business goals and revenue targets.Who We AreWe believe that marketing can change the world for the better and that our mission is to help marketing professionals around the world to learn, make better decisions, make better marketing and be more successful.Our vision is to create the leading destination for marketing insights in the world with a particular focus on brand decision-makers. We deliver it to our audience through multiple channels: articles and reports; TV; audio; live in person at The Drum Labs and elsewhere; online networking/meetings; at industry events.Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop an activation plan as per the overall strategy for targeting the top tier award targets, in line with our business priorities.
  • Work with the Data Team to ensure we are communicating to the right target audience across each campaign - building awareness, interest, desire, and action.
  • Provide ongoing updates and maintain reports on the performance of each campaign to key stakeholders.
  • Keep close track on entries into award categories and work with key stakeholders, to ensure quality entries into each of the awards.
  • Ensure the correct audience (and volumes) are in attendance at events/conferences.
  • Create, execute and review email and social communication plans.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure key messages from the activation plan are shared across key channels.
  • Ensure all sales material is in place, with at least a 7-month lead-in time.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to monitor entries into categories and work with the award advisors to focus on key areas where entries are required.
  • Work with Head of Events content to promote judges and sponsors across key channels.
  • Create landing pages for registrations to events, forms and Salesforce campaigns.
  • Attend awards and events.
  • Prioritize data collection to both improve customer experience and drive product innovation for all products.
  • Work with other product leaders to ensure cross promotion is effective.
Requirements:
  • A methodical, commercially minded, action orientated approach.
  • Ability to work in a matrix type environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing a product or service, ideally from a relevant sector (Publishing/Media/Marketing)
  • Understanding of the B2B sector and awards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling marketing content and presentations.
  • Tech literate and a fast learner / previous experience with marketing tools including Salesforce, Pardot, Canva and Foleon.
  • Proven ability to create an event concept from start to finish.
  • Understanding of what makes a good customer journey, pre, during and post event.
  • Able to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be creative and think outside the box.
  • Analytical and numerate.
  • Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
  • Calm under pressure.
