- Establish Cycle Count Strategy / System:
- Develop and implement a robust cycle count strategy to ensure ongoing inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define counting cycles, frequency, and methods.
- Maintain Quarterly Completeness Checks
- Monitor adherence to the strategy and accuracy of counts.
- Mitigate Accuracy Issues:
- Identify discrepancies and take proactive actions to address inaccuracies promptly.
- Investigate root causes of discrepancies and develop loss mitigation protocols.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Global Changes to Material Master Data:
- Manage changes related to material master data, including shelf life and batch management.
- Ensure that our inventory control practices align with PwC compliance standards.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Implement necessary controls and documentation to meet compliance expectations.
- Act as subject matter experts for all PwC audits.
- Maintain logistics data, including lead times, transport times, and inspection requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize lead times.
- Define and manage storage conditions for different inventory items.
- Ensure compliance with storage guidelines (e.g., temperature, humidity).
- Classify inventory items based on their importance and usage (ABC analysis).
- Optimize inventory levels for each class.
- Calculate safety stock levels to prevent stockouts.
- Set appropriate re-order points based on demand forecasts.
- Implement various Material Requirement Planning (MRP) strategies (e.g., Kanban, MRP, etc.) based on item characteristics.
- Optimize auto-replenishment settings where applicable.
- Identify obsolete inventory and disposition accordingly.
- Maintain accurate purchasing info records.
- Update vendor master contact information as needed.
- Develop and Maintain Operational Metrics:
- Define and track key operational metrics.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to optimize inventory management processes.
- Weekly and Monthly Reporting for Purchasing Team:
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, demand, and supply.
- Ad Hoc Reporting for Supply Chain and Operations:
- Provide ad hoc reports as needed to support supply chain and operations teams.
- Analyze data and recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in inventory management, master data analysis, or supply chain roles.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., Certified Inventory Management Professional) a plus.
