- Proven experience within a similar working environment.
- Additional certification based on Vet practices.
- Excellent administration skills
- fluent in AFRIKAANS and English
- Promotes a client-centred environment and facilitates programs and processes that meet client needs.
- Maintains the practice philosophy for attracting new clients and retaining existing clients.
- Facilitates resolution of client problems that doctors, or other staff members cannot finalize.
- Hire and train new staff
- Schedule staff on ERS and sign off payroll remunerations and leave reports sent by the payroll administrator.
- Perform all payroll-related duties required e.g., hiring, disciplinary hearings, training and leave approvals
- Review financial statements and key performance indicators and discuss them with management.
- Set goals for hospital performance based on previous data collected.
- Supervise usage of practice software to ensure that clients records are entered consistently and correctly.
- Sign off invoices and process GRV packs for the finance department.
- Ensure adequate stock of supplies are available.
- Schedule hospital maintenance to ensure practice medical standards are met.
- Design and administer safety and security regulations and training.
- Indicate new programs and market services through public relations campaigns.
- Promote internal marketing programs to increase client/patient visitation rate.
- Maintain effective advertising on social media platforms.
- Organise in store promotions to improve sales and create awareness of new stock.
- Maintain core values and standards of the practice.
- Promote a cooperative working environment among staff members, understand the value of teamwork, show enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
- Take an active role in practice staff meetings.
- Promote continuous quality improvements.
- Maintain inventory and inventory control systems.
- Sign off daily cash-ups.
- Purchase stationary required.
- Purchase cleaning stock to ensure the practice is clean and medical standards are met at all times.
- Consult with suppliers on new products and prices.
- Plan and organize all veterinary administration and personnel activities.
- Consult customers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and the law.
