- Complete fire alarm system inspections, maintenance, and service
- Test and insepct all aspects of fire alarm systems and peripheral devices per NFPA 72 standards
- Test and inspect all aspects of fire sprinkler systems and peripheral devices per NFPA 72 standards
- Test and inspect all aspects of special hazard and clean agent systems per NFPA 72 standards
- Test and inspect kitchen hood extinguishing systems per NFPA 72 standards
- Test and inspect portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 72 standards
- Demonstrate the proper use of a Sound Pressure Level meter
- Demonstrate the proper use of a smoke detector and/or heat detector kit
- Demonstrate the proper use of a battery load tester
- Demonstrate the proper use of a manometer duct detector air flow tester
- Demonstrate the proper use of a multi-meter
- Service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes
- Comprehensive working knowledge of NFPA 72, 25, 10, 13, 17, 17A, 20, 96, 2001, and National Electric Code (NEC)
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Has excellent attendance and punctuality
- Dress in appropriate attire
- Acts in a professional manner
- High School Diploma/GED
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Time Management Skills
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Must read and speak English
- Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
- 1-2 years prior experience in inspections, field service, and/or installation required
- NICET II or higher or CSA Certification is preferred
