- Must be a commutable distance from Rockford, IL to work onsite. This position is eligible for relocation.
- Lead the design effort for Digital Circuit Design. These designs will be to Aerospace standard including but not limited to DO-160 and DO-254.
- Integrate Hardware and software for embedded microprocessor devices and firmware-based FPGA devices.
- Assist in the design and development of embedded systems circuitry and printed circuit assemblies according to IPC standards.
- Generate design documentation including requirements specifications, design details, test procedures, and reports.
- Prepare and review the drawings and layouts for production parts, components, and test equipment.
- Create, document, and embedded test software and hardware to validate design details.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 15 years of relevant experience.

- Fundamental circuit design skills and knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
- Experience in analysis and schematic layout software packages.
- Familiarity with some type of electrical analysis software.
- Experience with computer work and drawing interpretation, as well as a familiarity with schematics or Engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a team environment and communicating across multiple disciplines and levels of management.
- Familiarity with DO-160 and DO-254 hardware design processes.
- Provide analysis support throughout the development of a product/concept.
- Analyze data and performance of designs and recommend actions to create an optimized design.
- Experience with technologies related to specifically Power distribution systems.
- History of continuous improvement and relentless root cause methodology.
- Firmware experience.
