Days: Monday – Friday (37.5hrs a Week)
Salary: Up to £55,000My client, a large recycling company is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee 2 of their depots in Kent.Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and control the efficient running of the workshops, train and develop the staff and continue to improve customer satisfaction and deliver the highest standards of service. There is also a responsibility to identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure that all KPIs and financial measures are achieved in line with agreed performance levels.The Workshop Manager will be responsible for:
- The Workshop manager will be responsible for a team of HGV Technicians across 2 depots in Kent.
- Leading, motivating and supporting staff to work to a high standard
- Manage the workshop control operation, planning workload and resource and ensuring there is an efficient flow of authorised work, and relevant internal / customer documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure that all staff are fully instructed on safe workshop practices and correct use of all workshop equipment
- Ensure the workshop works to legal and Company standards at all times
- Responsible for the daily control of the workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality repair
- Must have experience gained in a depot manager role to be considered
- HGV License + CPC desired
- Have experience working on HGV vehicles and/or the qualifications to do so.
- Knowledge of refuse vehicles
- City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- COSHH/IOSH experience of working in a management role (supervisory/above) would be beneficial for this depot manager role
