You can read more about us at .About the jobWe are looking for a Senior Consultant to lead and oversee the research activities and operational parts within the Danish Precision Health Initiative.Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and manage a team of 6-10 staff working on the Precision Health Initiative.
  • Contribute to setting research goals, overseeing data collection and analysis, and ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Establish and ensure that operating procedures follow standards and protocols.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the project, ensuring that it is conducted efficiently.
  • Coordinate collaboration within the study including research collaborations as well as collaboration with private parts.
  • Launch the study, including supervision of participant recruitment and data collection, with the support of the team.
The Lead will report to Professor Ruth Loos who is the scientific leader of the Precision Health Cohort.Requirements, qualifications, and evaluation criteriaWe expect you to have:
  • A profound research background with a PhD in epidemiology, nutrition, exercise or similar.
  • Proven experience in conceiving and designing clinical studies, coordinating the administrative and ethical components, and recruiting and collecting data from participants.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and business-developing skills, with an ability to nurture internal and external partnerships across different research centers and collaborators.
  • Preferably experience in supervising a team of staff scientists and/or students.
  • An active interest in science related to obesity, metabolism, nutrition, physical activity, lifestyle and precision health.
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written in Danish and English.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized
  • A team player with a “can-do” attitude
  • Positive, pro-active, and open-minded
  • Solution-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks at the same time

Place of employmentThe place of employment is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Maersk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic, diverse, and highly international research environment.Terms of salary and employmentThe appointment as Lead of the Precision Health Cohort is positioned as Senior Consultant ('Chefkonsulent med personaleansvar'). It is a full-time position for a duration of 4 years and 5 months. The start date is as soon as possible. Working hours will be 37 hours per week on average.
