- Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and risks.
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Perform security assessments of third-party applications and services to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle of software and systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously improve our security posture.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on Linux security.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating system internals and security mechanisms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
