With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they provide comprehensive solutions to clients across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors and as they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a talented and experienced Building Surveyor to join us in a pivotal role as Associate Director.Position Overview:As a Building Surveyor / Associate Director, you will play a key role in leading their surveying team, managing projects, and providing expert advice to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to further your career within a supportive and collaborative environment, working on diverse projects and contributing to the growth and success of their firm.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Oversee all aspects of building surveying projects, from inception to completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct detailed surveys, inspections, and assessments of buildings, identifying defects, recommending repairs, and providing cost estimates.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, schedules of work, and specifications, communicating findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and other professionals, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation in our services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Extensive experience in building surveying, with a proven track record of managing projects and leading teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, defects analysis, and repair methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including CAD software and surveying tools.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
