Reporting to Servier Canada's General Manager, the incumbent will work in close conjunction with the operational team. This role is entrusted with the pivotal task of nurturing talent within our organization. Through a meticulous blend of training initiatives, comprehensive talent development plans, and enticing career pathway incentives, the person spearhead the cultivation of our workforce's potential. The person develops locally, or with the support of global head office, strategic initiatives that empower our employees to realize their fullest potential and contribute meaningfully to our collective success.Status of position: PermanentLocation of position: Laval, Hybrid office / work from homeRole Purpose:A positive and driven individual with a strong sense of ownership, the Human Resources & administration Manager will play a key role in the planning and the implementation of the HR policies. The person will be working in close collaboration with all departments as well as the General Manager in order to align on priorities and expectations of the subsidiary and the objectives of the Servier Group. Specifically, this individual will need to orient and orchestrate a full range of activities, including in particular:
  • Develop, supervise, and administer local and global human resources programs.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within HR processes.
  • Implement procedures and guidelines to align employees with strategic objectives.
  • Continuously study HR policies, programs, and practices.
  • Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Establish an internal employee training system catering to various needs.
  • Direct standard recruitment and hiring practices.
  • Manage salary and compensation structures, including bonuses and increases.
  • Conduct competitive market studies for salary practices.
  • Develop talent management strategies for recruitment, performance, and retention.
  • Deploy initiatives to enhance employee efficiency and well-being.
  • Review and enhance HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote employer branding through communication initiatives.
  • Coordinate human resources and administrative activities.
  • Provide advisory role in strategic discussions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure optimal employee experience through various tools.
  • Keep updated on organizational development and change management trends.
  • Support organizational culture development emphasizing innovation and collaboration.
  • Participate in meetings with executives and staff.
  • Plan philanthropic and charitable donations with relevant stakeholders.
Your background will ideally include:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant field, with 10+ years of experience in HR.
  • Mobilizes individuals toward organizational goals and expectations.
  • Identifies issues and proposes innovative solutions.
  • Expertise in organizational development and change management.
  • Strong teamwork and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Skilled in interacting with stakeholders at various levels and demonstrating political acumen.
  • Membership in the Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors (an asset).
  • Bilingualism is an asset for the role.
